Day 1
Depart Istanbul and travel southwest towards Canakkale, located on the southern coast of the Dardanelles Strait at the narrowest point. Before crossing the strait from Thrace to Anatolia, visit the Gallipoli War Graves where Turkish, British and Anzac soldiers who perished during the First World War lie side by side.

Cross the strait to Anatolia and spend the afternoon exploring the ancient city of Troy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are many layers of ruins indicating that Troy was destroyed and rebuilt many times. The first city on the site was founded in the 3rd millennium B.C. Homer's Troy was most likely between 1300 and 1190 B.C. See the remains of ancient walls, palaces, houses and the Roman Theatre. Overnight in Canakkale.

Day 2
After breakfast, take a leisurely drive back to Istanbul and depart on your Mediterranean cruise or to your next destination.
